2. A Sudden High Fever

Medically speaking, a high fever is considered to be when a patient’s temperature reaches 103*. This high fever is generally caused by an infection in one’s body. In TSS the cause of the high fever will be an infection from the bacteria build up. Acetaminophen may lower the temperature, but will not take away the infection.

It is always best to consult with your physician for a fever that reaches more than 101*. In TSS, there will also be other symptoms along with the fever. If you have a high fever, make note of other symptoms, to be able to talk with your doctor.
