10 Signs and Symptoms of Toxic Shock

Toxic shock (TSS) and it’s symptoms should not be ignored. TSS is an illness that comes on suddenly and could lead to death. Toxicity shock happens when toxins are released from an overgrowth of bacteria called Staphylococcus. Staph, for short, is in most women’s bodies. This shock occurs most often in menstruating women. However, it is possible that men may also be exposed. TSS is no longer linked to just tampons. Women who use cervical caps, menstrual sponges or even diaphragms could be affected. Symptoms will include:

1. Low Blood Pressure

Low blood pressure is also called Hypotension. Some of the signs of low blood pressure include feeling light headed or dizzy. When your blood pressure fall below 90 systolic, it is the time to visit your physician. There are other possible causes for low blood pressure, so again, write down all symptoms you are experiencing. The dizzy and light headed feeling could make you faint. Do not drive if you are feeling light headed. Be sure to drink lots of water to prevent dehydration, this could help with the dizziness.
