8. Congestive Heart Failure
One serious side effect of vitamin B12 is congestive heart failure. Our heart is made entirely of strong muscles and they are responsible for pumping blood to the rest of our body every single day to keep us alive. Therefore if the heart loses its ability to pump blood due to insufficient force, it can lead to conditions such as congestive heart failure, which is a very serious condition.
Congestive heart failure happens when your heart becomes less efficient at pumping blood. There are many reasons why this can happen. Some studies show that this could be a side effect of vitamin B12. So if you have an existing heart condition, it may be best to avoid taking vitamin B12, as it may only worsen your condition.
