Kidney Damage Risk Factors
The NIH or National Institute of Health stated that damage in the kidney is more likely to happen under the following conditions:
- Having high blood pressure
- Having uncontrolled level of blood sugar
- Have a family member who also has diabetes and kidney problem.
- Smokes regularly.
It is important that you see your healthcare provider each year in order to get tested for any signs of kidney damage or if there are signs that your kidneys are not healthy. There are various tests available that your doctor can recommend you.
