According to a study, participants who consumed 1-6 grams of cinnamon for a period of 40 days saw positive impact in their blood sugar and cholesterol. On average, participants saw around 24 percent reduction in blood sugar level and 18 percent reduction in cholesterol level.

However, cinnamon cannot completely replace your medication treatments. It is best to talk to your doctor if you decide to add large amounts of cinnamon into your diet.
