2. Chest Pain
Chest pain is also a sign and symptom of kennel cough. Even though this disease is named after its most common symptom, kennel cough is actually a medical condition that affects the respiratory tract or passages due to the presence of bacteria. When this becomes severe, the bacteria may spread out to the lungs and can trigger pneumonia, a health concern that is characterized by an inflamed air sac in the lungs.
People who experience pneumonia as a secondary negative effect of having kennel cough also experience chest pain due to the inflammation. It is very important to understand that although pneumonia is common, fatalities may occur if it’s not treated.
