3. Fever
Fever is not necessarily a specific symptom of kennel cough since it is experienced in many other infections regardless of whether it is viral or bacterial. However, it is one of the most usual signs experienced by people who are suffering from kennel cough.
During the early stages of this disease, a mild to moderate fever can be encountered. However, as the infection becomes severe and as the bacteria spreads out, patients may experience higher body temperature than this. Instead of treating this symptom with over-the-counter medications such as paracetamol, you should see your doctor and discuss your symptoms to diagnose the reason behind your fever.
