5. Belching

One common symptom of H. pylori which is often overlooked is belching or more commonly called as burping. It is a normal occurrence in our everyday life and is experienced even by newborn babies. Belching happens when we unintentionally swallow air during a meal or when drinking.

Although belching is a common reaction of the body to expel the excess air, some diseases can result in frequent burping without any obvious cause. This may include sore stomach lining, hiatal hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, and more. If you observed unusual burping, contact a medical professional to check what is causing it to happen.
