10. Joint and Muscle Pain
Joint and muscle pain are also common signs and symptoms of gluten allergy. As we age, we also experience slow deterioration of different body parts including our muscles and joints. Pain in these areas is normal in older age group. Though it is a normal occurrence in the body, it can be very uncomfortable to experience and may prevent us from performing our everyday routines.
For people who have a gluten allergy, joint and muscle pain is usually encountered as the ability to tolerate pain abruptly decreases because of inflammation. Joint and muscle pain due to gluten intolerance usually heal by itself. If you are experiencing pain longer than expected, consult your doctor immediately to alleviate the pain.
