2. Confusion
It is common knowledge that people are not usually at their mental best when they are drunk. People who are drunk are often confused with things that are otherwise not too complicated to understand. While this is not usually something that people have to be overly concerned about, this symptom can get severe if left unattended.
If you notice that your drinking buddy has become more confused than usual, consider this a sign of alcohol poisoning. He or she may struggle to comprehend everything you say and all the things that are going on around you. Sometimes, the affected person cannot even recognize who he or she is conversing with.
