2. Sore Throat

A sore throat is the most common symptom that will manifest if a person has walking pneumonia. The condition can trigger pain, irritation, and itchiness in the throat. It will sometimes develop along with other symptoms and the patient will be wheezing and coughing.

Since the symptoms are the same with bronchitis, walking pneumonia is often confused as bronchitis. However, bronchitis affects mostly the bronchial tubes while walking pneumonia affects any part of the respiratory tract, from bronchioles to the alveoli. It is for this reason why the patient will experience discomfort and irritation in the throat. Cough syrup and other medications may help to alleviate the pain, however, it is highly recommended that you consult with a physician.
