8. Skin Shedding

When someone suffers from toxic shock, the skin may begin to peel. This could happen in large areas. The skin of the palms, soles of the feet generally begins happening one to two weeks after the onset of the infection. This desquamation begins after the rash has begun. The peeling skin will be where the rash has been on the body. The skin will seem to peel in sheets, mainly the hands and feet. The skin may also have a scaly appearance. The scaly skin will usually be located on the hands and feet.
