4. Confusion
The inability to understand basic thoughts or messages is considered to be confusion. You may have a difficult time staying focused. Many times this confusion can cause strange behavior, aggressive personality swings and disorientation. This confusion during TSS is caused due to the infection or electrolyte imbalance. This confusion may come on suddenly, go away just as quickly.
Sometimes it may never go away. Immediate medical attention should be given when confusion comes on suddenly. Treatment will be determined by the actual cause of the confusion. This altered mental change could be the complete opposite of what the patient normally is like.
