9. Pneumonia
Staph can also lead to pneumonia. The serious thing about this is its ability to attack the lungs. It can lead to bacteraemia which affects the whole blood stream. When staph attacks with pneumonia, the patient will have difficulty breathing, fever, chills, or malaise. One will often have an extreme feeling of discomfort. This is not to be ignored! There happen to be at least 30 different causes of pneumonia. It can be caused by fungi, bacteria, or a virus. The lungs end up flooded with fluids and may lead to death when not treated. This is a serious symptom of a serious pathogen. Do not attempt to self-diagnose this type of infection.
