6. Recurring Fever
Recurring fever is another sign and symptom Sjogren’s syndrome. There are many reasons why a person get a fever. This is usually an immune response to certain conditions, including infection. If a virus or bacteria gets into your body, your immune system will fight it off and your body will react by having a fever. In Sjogren’s syndrome, your liver, heart, or kidneys will get inflamed. All these can lead to recurring fevers.
In most cases, fever is not very intense. However, the presence of fever is already an indication that there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Since there are many conditions that are associated with fever, it can be hard for doctors to determine if this symptom has something to do with Sjogren’s syndrome or something else.
