8. Insomnia
Insomnia is a sleep problem or issue that is characterized by not being able to fall or stay asleep normally. A lot of post-traumatic stress disorder patients encounter insomnia at a certain point in their PTSD life. Insomnia due to PTSD can be a result of a lot of factors such as anxiety and paranoia.
The most usual cause is being extremely anxious which makes a patient’s mind occupied with a lot of things. Overthinking may result in restlessness and irritation as well. Insomnia can often be relieved by over the counter sleeping pills; however, if it is a result of PTSD, it is more ideal to consult a medical professional for proper therapy.
