6. Disinterest
Another sign of PTSD is disinterest. The interests of people who have post-traumatic stress disorder are often affected once PTSD develops. Regardless of how much a patient likes a particular activity or thing, if it is somehow connected to the traumatic event that caused PTSD, he or she may immediately lose interest in it.
This symptom can hugely affect the patient’s quality of life as he/she may shift their focus on things and activities that are not very interesting for them just to cope up with the disinterest of what used to make them happy. It is important to know that this symptom may develop into other mental health issues such as depression thus medical attention is highly needed.
