3. Slowed Movement
The medical term for slowed movement is bradykinesia and this is a common symptom of Parkinson’s disease. This symptom will make the patient unable to perform normal activities, such as changing clothes, walking, or even moving. They may be able to move, but it will be extremely slower than normal.
Due to the condition, the patient will not be able to perform spontaneous movements and will find it difficult to perform repetitive movements. Some of the most common signs of bradykinesia are extremely slow walk, which involves shuffling strides, as well as slow and soft speech. Patients with this condition will find it hard and take longer to carry out ordinary tasks such as dressing up, eating, and brushing of teeth.
