3. Spots Inside the Mouth
There are cases when spots will appear inside the patient’s mouth before it starts spreading all over the body. The spots in your mouth are usually small and red in color with a greyish and whitish color in the middle. These spots are also know as Koplik’s spots. Usually, these spots will only appear for only a few days.
If the patient has mouth sores followed by body rashes appearing in a few days, it is a telling sign that the illness the patient has is indeed measles. However, it is also worth noting that although the mouth sores are a common indication of measles, they do not always follow such a pattern. Furthermore, it is possible that the spot may not be noticed at all.
