Anorexia is another sign and symptom of a kidney infection. Anorexia is a disorder that is characterized by having no to little appetite to consume food and drinks and is usually caused by an underlying medical condition. People with anorexia often experience rapid weight loss and other complications. There are many different illnesses that can contribute or trigger anorexia such as cancer, flu, and mental related issues.
Kidney infections that lead to anorexia may not only aggravate the infection, it may also cause further negative effects such as dehydration due to inadequate consumption of liquid. This can lead to intensified pain during urination. Anorexia can affect patients of all ages and even children are prone to developing anorexia due to pyelonephritis.
