2. Pain
The most common symptom of kidney infection, especially when the case is severe, would be a stabbing and heavy pain that can be felt on your lower back and sometimes radiate up the middle back.
When only one kidney is affected by the infection, it is possible to feel pain only on one side of your body. However, in most cases, if the pain is severe, it can be difficult to detect the exact location of the pain as it tend to spread out to the whole lower back. The pain caused by kidney infection usually does not go away with regular painkillers and proper medical treatment is needed.
