2. Pain
The level of pain has several factors such as your personal pain tolerance, the hernia’s severity, the length of time it has been present and the hernia’s location. The pain can range from a mild discomfort to crippling pain and tends to increase overtime with people reporting little to no pain when the bulge first emerges. In addition to feeling pain in the affected area you may also feel pressure when doing physical tasks such as bending over or sitting down.
Debilitating pain usually occurs with strangulated hernias, this happens when the blood flow to the area is cut off and is very serious. You should see a doctor as soon as possible.
