10. Loss of Appetite
People who suffer from H. pylori may have a sudden decrease in weight due to the loss of appetite. When the presence of this bacterium leads to an infection, the patient may feel full even after consuming very little amount of food.
This symptom can also be experienced along with other indications such as bloating and can result in malnutrition and other complications. It is non-specific to H. pylori infection and can be observed in patients of other disorders such as cancer, kidney failure, heart failure, HIV, and even a mental disorder called anorexia. There is no direct cure for loss of appetite, especially when caused by H. pylori aside from treating the main cause of the problem.
