4. Vitamin C
Vitamin C has been hailed as a common cold eliminator for many years. In recent years, there has been a debate on the effectiveness of taking vitamin C to combat a cold. Nevertheless, it does not mean that vitamin C cannot help with your laryngitis. In fact, maintaining healthy levels of vitamin C in your body has anti-inflammatory effects and thus can aid in the healing of your vocal cords.
It is not going to hurt you to take this vitamin at the first sign of throat inflammation. This is especially so if your diet lacks fruits and vegetables.
Vitamin C comes in many different forms including lozenges to pop into your mouth whenever you want. You can never overdose on Vitamin C because it is a water-soluble vitamin. Excess Vitamin C is not toxic and is eliminated through the urine.
