5. Associated with a Fever

Heart palpitations can also occur in people who are ill with a very high fever. There is a good chance that fever and palpitations are closely related to each other. If your temperature reaches 38°C and above, it is likely that you will start having palpitations.

In most cases, the heart palpitations will go away after a while. However, there are also instances that it will get intense. This problem will subside once the fever eases. When in doubt, consider visiting a clinic get a check-up, especially if the palpitations did not stop even when your fever is gone.
