9. Processed Foods

Processed foods are nearly universally denounced while, at the same time, still purchased by millions of people daily. The reasons: they are convenient and they remain preserved for years. Yet the whole foods they once were have been robbed of their nutrients in the, well, process. Beyond the lack of nutritional value, they are no friend to those in pain with diverticulitis.
