5. Shock
When your body has a sudden drop in blood pressure your organs do not receive enough oxygen and begin to have a difficult time working. This can lead to organ failure. When your body goes into shock it is likely from the Staphylococcus infection associated with the TSS. Shock is determined by different symptoms itself. These can range from a change in the skin color or temperature.
A change in mental status or the severity of toxic shock infection. There is also weakness, rapid pulse and quick breathing. If you are near the person and you suspect shock, lay the person down and raise their feet until medical assistance arrives.
