10. Anal Itching
This symptom is most commonly seen in children but it can be experienced in people of all ages too. Tapeworms can migrate to the rectum and causing intense anal itching. Anal itching from a tapeworm is mostly experienced at night as this parasite is nocturnal. The itching can also spread to the female genital in women due to the sheer close proximity.
It is very important to refrain from scratching. Intense itching not only lead to scratching and bleeding, it also enables the eggs to get trapped under your fingernails. The parasite can be spread to other parts of the body or whichever thing or person the infected person touches.
