6. Waves of Pain
As narrowing of the spinal canal is normal and happens as we age, during the early stage of spinal stenosis patients may not feel any symptoms or pain at all. However, as it progresses, sufferers may experience mild to severe pain that can be constant, recurring, or intermittent.
There are a lot of known cases wherein the patient complains of sporadic pain or waves of pain every few hours. Some have excruciating pain that lasts even for days. It is crucial to consult your medical provider when these waves of pain are experienced to perform the proper treatment and avoid further damage.
