9. Someone You Live With Has It
The transmission of ringworm is very common for people who constantly have skin-to-skin contact with someone who is infected. It is extremely contagious and can spread quickly especially when proper medication and prevention are not observed.
If you know someone who has contracted ringworm, it is best to avoid having direct contact with him or her. Also, try to avoid sharing personal items such as bath towels and clothes, and touching surfaces or things they have previously come in contact with like beddings, combs, pillows, and such. Another way to prevent it is to have a clean and dry environment.
