8. Athlete’s Foot
Althete’s foot can also be a sign and symptom of ringworm. Like ringworm, athlete’s foot is caused by a fungus infection. The spaces between the toes are ideal spots for the fungus to live since it is usually damp and warm. The fungus grows, multiplies, and feeds on the outer layer of the skin. This infection is itchy and uncomfortable.
People who suffer from Athlete’s Foot may experience itchiness and cracking of the skin in between the toes. Though the Athlete’s foot is common in adolescents and people who are active and wear closed shoes often, anyone can easily develop this infection if the feet are not kept dry and clean.
