4. Lost Memory
Having lost memory is also a PTSD symptom. Contrary to having recurring flashbacks of the whole event that led to a post-traumatic stress disorder, a patient may also develop lost memory. While some people may have a vivid recollection of the cause of trauma, some completely forget the entire experience by deliberately obstructing those stressful memories mentally.
People who have this particular symptom should consult a medical professional at the soonest time possible as this may assist in fast recovery from the post-traumatic stress disorder. If this symptom is left untreated, it may lead to severe PTSD as the sufferer may be unaware that they are having a mental health issue.
