8. Sudden Hypertension

Sudden hypertension is also a PCOS symptom. The condition has been found to have a tendency to increase the blood pressure level. However, hypertension in PCOS is considered a secondary symptom and this means that it may not be due to the condition itself but caused by the insulin resistance and the patient being overweight.

Hypertension increases risk of cardiovascular diseases in people with Polycystic ovary syndrome. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can injure blood vessels and organs. It can further cause complications such as eye problems, kidney problems, stroke and heart attack. Hence, if the condition is not diagnosed early on, it can lead to many other health problems.
