7. Bell’s Palsy
Bell’s Palsy refers to the sudden weakness of the muscles in the face. This is also among the most common symptoms of Lyme disease, although this symptom will usually appear at the later stage of the disease. Bell’s palsy can also be due to something else, although it is a common reaction to viral infections, such as Lyme disease.
When a person suffers from Bell’s palsy, he or she will have difficulty controlling the facial muscles, which leads to the drooping of one or both sides of the face. Aside from Bell’s palsy, the patient will also experience temporary paralysis of the other muscles, although this side effect is pretty rare.
