Another nonspecific symptom of kidney infection is a general sensation of discomfort, restlessness, pain, and distress. This unexplainable feeling is medically known as malaise. It is encountered by people with a wide range of infections.

Experiencing malaise over a short period of time may not be alarming. However, if you are consistently sensing this, it is best to call your doctor to arrange an appointment as it may mean a serious disease.
