9. Diarrhea
Diarrhea refers to bowel movements that can lead to loose and watery stools. A person who releases loose stools more than three times a day may have diarrhea. This is also a common symptom of gastritis.
Patients with gastritis often have sensitive and inflamed stomach lining. As a result, the stomach’s digestive capacity will be compromised. In the most severe cases, the inflamed stomach will prevent the breakdown of food, which can affect the entire process of digestion, and can further aggravate diarrhea. This symptom will usually last for 1 – 2 days but can be recurring for people with gastritis.
