5. Abdominal Tenderness
Tenderness in any part of the body is an indication of inflammation or a type of injury to the body part. For example, when gallstones block the duct, the whole area swells up to protect the gallbladder from further injury. This influx of moisture or the inflammation disappears upon resuming the gallbladder’s normal function.
From the outside, you’ll notice the swelling of the gallbladder area. It will feel tender to the touch.

This is the outward manifestation of the inward inflammation. The tenderness will go away following the resumption of proper processes.
