9. Loss of Appetite
As the immune system try to fight off the infection in the ear, the patient may experience a loss of appetite as the infection progresses. The body needs to have all the energy that it can in order to deal with the ongoing infection. And if the infection is left untreated, the patient will start to develop fever, which is the another reason behind the loss of appetite.
The irritation and pain brought about by the infection can also reduce the patient’s desire to eat. Thus, patients are highly advised to drink as much water as they can to help the body to recover rapidly from the condition.
