10. Tingling/Numbness
Functional neurologic disorders such as found in this disorder affect every facet of your body. Effects are variable in symptoms, intensity, and duration. Because this disorder has to do with a short circuit between the brain and the nervous system there are specific symptoms that involve the nerves such as a tingling sensation in the extremities. These tingling sensations are real and they cause different levels of stress, pain, or discomfort. You cannot produce this tingling sensation any more then you can control this sensation as it happens. You may or may not experience numbness or tingling in your extremities.
