3. Bleeding During Intercourse and Between Cycles
One symptom of chlamydia in women is unusual bleeding during intercouse and between cycle. Women who have chlamydia will experience symptoms similar to having a menstrual period, even if it is outside their monthly cycle. They will experience unnecessary bleeding between their cycles and during sexual intercourse as well. The light and unexpected blood spots that the patient will notice is usually due to weakened blood vessel.
For women with chlamydia, their vagina’s inner wall tends to break easily once it is exposed to pressure, which explains the blood spots. Although this is usually not very painful, it is a horrifying experience for most women. Worst, some pregnant women who have chlamydia will ignore this symptom thinking that it is normal. However, pregnant women with chlamydia should seek immediate treatment because there is a good chance that the infection will be passed on to the growing fetus.
