6. Muscle Aches
Muscle aches are also common symptoms of chickenpox in children. When this symptom is present, the patient will feel pain and discomfort in their muscles. Just like fever, muscle ache is also a prodromal symptom of viral diseases like chicken pox.
If a patient complains of muscle aches but has no history of trauma, this is usually a result of the viral infection. Due to the aches and pains that the patient feels, he or she will feel fatigued and exhausted and this can be even more difficult for younger kids. This will limit their ability to perform his or her usual activities.
