Oral cavity spots are also a  sign and symptom of chickepox. In some instances, the rashes can spread into the mucous membranes inside the mouth. These internal rashes, also known as enanthem, will start developing inside the mouth and could spread into the tonsils as well.

However, the sores in the mouth will not be the same as those chickenpox blisters in the body. These oral cavity spots will develop into tiny painful ulcers. Usually, the mouth spots will appear simultaneously with the skin rashes, but in some instances, they will appear 1 – 3 days ahead of the skin rashes. The most common feature of a viral infection including chicken pox will also manifest in the form of roseola infantum and measles.
