One less common athlete’s foot symptom is blistering. Almost all cases of athlete’s foot do not display painful symptoms such as blisters. However, a very little percentage of untreated athlete’s foot creates this sore and distressing abscess.

Blisters in people with athlete’s foot are usually a negative reaction of the skin from the fungus. These are characterized by having a boil-like blister that is sensitive and is painful to touch. It often contains liquid or pus that can sometimes be hard and sore. If you notice blisters forming in your foot, it is important to remember not to pop it on your own. Try taking antihistamines to alleviate this reaction.
