9. Hesitation to Try New Things
Those with Alzheimer’s will also be hesitant to try new things. That is because even the smallest changes in their daily routines can have a huge impact on their emotional state. Thus, they will rather stick to what they are used to and resist any changes. Therefore, they will prefer to stay indoors and stick to doing things consistently.
New experiences are most likely to bring worry and distress to patients with Alzheimer’s. For instance, traveling to a new place will be difficult for them. Unfamiliar people and sights could make them feel anxious and fearful. Therefore, patients with Alzheimer’s will always make sure to stick to familiar environments.
