8. Changes in Mood
Another common sign of Alzheimer’s disease is showing sudden changes in mood and personality. People with alzheimer’s will get irritated very easily and even the smallest things can provoke their anger. Thus, they are often irritated, anxious, confused, and fearful even for no reason at all.
Patients with Alzheimer’s will get upset easily at work, or when with friends and family even for small reasons. Just like with dementia patients, those with Alzheimer’s are prone to paranoia. In the long-term, they can experience permanent changes in their behavior and personality. It is usually the close friends and family members that are the first once to recognize these changes.
