8. Irregular Breathing
Another sign of alcohol poisoning is irregular breathing. When we are at rest, we usually breathe at a slow but steady pace. Our manner of breathing will also increase if we exercise so as to make up for the increasing demand for oxygen. If you notice a person is breathing irregularly after drinking too much alcohol, then he can be in serious trouble.
Someone who suffers from alcohol poisoning will tend to breathe in a very irregular manner. Instead of steadily breathing in and out, his breathing can get very erratic. Sometimes, every breath will be delayed for up to 10 seconds before breathing again.
