7. Changing Your Diet
Your diet affects your body in a variety of ways and your kidneys are no exception. A poor diet is one of the main causes of poor kidney health. Consuming too much soda, processed foods and alcohol can wreak havoc on your kidneys. Ingesting too much of these foods greatly increases your chances of developing these stones. Instead, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and drink more water. Water helps to flush toxins out of your body. If you are drinking more processed juices and sodas than water, you are hurting your kidneys.
