7. Rest your voice
The number one remedy recommended for laryngitis or throat inflammation is to rest your voice completely. Sounds easy enough, but it can be difficult to consciously refrain from speaking especially for those living with family or have an occupation which requires communication with others.
Abstaining from speech would allow your vocal cords time to recover. With laryngitis, your vocal cords are inflamed, swollen, and irritated. The only way to eliminate all these and hasten the healing of your larynx is to simply stop talking. Your larynx heals itself when you do not use your vocal cords at all.
Laryngitis may seem like a mild illness. Nonetheless it can become serious if you neglect it and do not give enough care and rest.
