IF has a good safety record, but there are a few considerations. Please always understand these before you attempt intermittent fasting. Hunger will be your biggest problem until your body gets accustomed to the diet, it might not be as easy as it is to suddenly change your diet timings. This might result in you feeling weak when you are not eating. The brain might also lose some sharpness in your daily activities.
