8. Alcohol Abuse
Occasional drinking of alcohol will not cause any harm. However, excessive drinking can be the cause of heart palpitations too. If you are having heart palpitations after drinking, consider that a sign that the level of alcohol you consumed has already gone beyond your own limit.
We all know about the many dangers of binge drinking. Heart palpitation may only be a minor side effect of alcohol abuse. If your alcohol abuse become extreme, you can end up with more serious consequences, including heart problems. There is nothing wrong with occasional drinking as long as you know when to stop. If you start having palpitations, then consider that a cue to stop.
